Women's slippers
House slippers for women
The ones commonly known as “house slippers” have gone, in a short time, from being the typical checked slippers that we all remember on our grandparents, to today, when they already blend great design work with increasingly modern and sophisticated materials and manufacturing techniques, making house slippers something essential in our homes.

Coming back to the evolution of house slippers, let's talk about how slippers are made. They involve different techniques, as we explained in a previous post: at marpen slippers we go for the vulcanization technique, since, in our opinion — and after the experience that making house slippers since 1960 gives us — we know that thanks to this technique you get a slipper that stands for comfort, modernity and current trends.
With our slippers you're guaranteed a design made in Spain, with a team specialized in product and design. In the same article we mentioned earlier, we already told you how advisable it is to wear this kind of footwear when walking around the house. Going barefoot, even just at home, is not advisable at all, since your foot is left completely vulnerable. With our slippers, besides feeling comfortable, you'll have the protection you need against objects that can hurt your foot, like those corners or the legs of your furniture that you've surely stubbed yourself on at some point.
Your tread will also be protected with our slippers; barefoot, it can change shape, which may cause discomfort in your legs or even your back.
The quality of the slipper is essential: one that isn't well designed will, sooner rather than later, cause you discomfort when you walk.
The last must be wide; that way you make sure your foot is as comfortable as possible.
Remember what we said about height: it helps make your tread the right one and keeps it from wearing out your joints, which is why soles at least 0,5 centimetres high and ergonomic are a better choice than very flat soles.
Natural rubber is a high-quality material for soles because it's durable, flexible and non-slip, and besides giving your slippers great durability, it provides good grip. If your home has a parquet floor, this type of sole leaves no marks and is quiet as you walk. Another option for soles is sponge rubber; it also adds comfort underfoot, but if you have physical ailments it isn't advisable, because it deforms a lot under weight. Podiatrists always recommend firmness in these cases. The best thing is to choose a sole with enough texture to be non-slip and comfortable for you.
The shape of your slippers has to suit the shape of your foot; only then will you get a comfortable slipper. Use our size guide if you have any doubts.
From here, all you have to do is look for your favourite slipper, see which design you like best, pay attention to the materials depending on the time of year you'll wear them, and enjoy the comfort our slippers will give you. And remember, make the most of it – shipping is free!!!
