How to beat the post-holiday blues
Learn how to beat the post-holiday blues and make the most of September's energy with these 7 REALISTIC resolutions we're suggesting.
We don't want any more plans. We had plenty of them on holiday and, besides, we can't come up with new and original ones. So, what can we do in September? Easy! We have to throw ourselves into trying new things, changing habits, picking up others and becoming the best version of ourselves!
Too much sugar? Okay, we sounded a bit too motivated. But no. As cute as we are, we'll never become flag-bearers for the power of love and positivity. Arggh.
It's September's influence that gets us all fired up. After an August full of excess and pleasure and going back to work with zero enthusiasm, along comes this motivation phase. The YES I CAN one.
You've surely spent all of August telling yourself: come 1 September, I'm done with this.
See? The power. Real promises are made when summer ends.
The energy shows up out of nowhere and we have to stay alert to make the most of it.
That's why we're not going to suggest cheap plans to do in September. We already know those plans are watching movies, dinners at home and board games. We're going to suggest the REALISTIC AND GENUINE RESOLUTIONS FOR SEPTEMBER AND HOW TO KEEP THEM. (Well, how to try not to drop them in the first week).

Drink more water.
Did you think we'd start by signing you up for a Chinese course? Realism, my friend. Realism.
Drinking water is one of the best things you'll ever do in your life. And we're not exaggerating because we're motivated, it's true. We haven't made anything up. It's good for your kidneys, your skin, your diet and everything.
And this doesn't mean drinking like crazy. Eat more fruit, drink tea or, for starters, make yourself some gazpacho or soups. How healthy you are.
At the very least we should drink around 2 litres of water a day (counting everything we eat/drink) and we're sure very few people manage it. Although some say all this is nonsense, so if you don't do it for the water, do it for the fruit.
Just get on board with the "Mens sana in corpore sano" and that would be it.

Read before going to sleep.
People don't even keep books decorating their nightstands anymore. That's an insult we can't do to our brains. Feed your mind by reading at least 10 pages before going to bed. It's 10 minutes and, trust us, you can skip those stories in exchange for reading a couple of pages. The latter will give you more than all the stories of every Instagram user put together on a loop.
We need to raise the national average, it's for the common good!

Stretch when you wake up
Turn off the alarm and start stretching properly. It's good for your body and it'll wake you up more than staring dazed at your slippers on the floor. Or grabbing your phone the second you open your eyes because it's the first thing you want to see when you get up. You're a romantic.
Twist around, lift your bum, bend your neck, get creative. We don't care how, the important thing is to do it.
Without even realising it, you'll have invented a whole new concept of Yoga. And, hey! You'll be wide awake!
You're welcome 😉

Tidy your room at night
There's a lot to do here. This one isn't so easy. The mountain of clothes on the chair that looks like a vampire at night isn't going to put itself away. This is a whole saga and can be an endless challenge. But let's start with a simple routine.
Tidying your room at night and getting ready what you'll need the next day means your mood in the morning won't be that of a heartless monster. It's the fastest way to wake up the next day mid-stretch, surrounded by little birds and fairytale music.
You'll admit to yourself that you're a star for having done everything in advance and you'll start the day much better.
A clear conscience is a very rewarding thing.

Put your phone aside
Everyone talks about how hooked we are on our phones. We never let go of them. We chat, upload photos to Instagram, take selfies, film ourselves some super stylish stories, play games and, oh! We talk on the phone too. Way too much.
Set yourself a detox. It's an addiction and, like every addiction, you have to know how to handle it. If you still won't admit you have a problem, well, you know which stage you're at…Next up: acceptance.

Find yourself a new hobby
We're upping the difficulty, but let's not go overboard, it's September and it comes in motivated. It's easy if you have few hobbies or hard if you already do them all. Relax!
Watch your friends and try doing the things they do. You'll spend time with people you love, nurture the relationship and, on top of that, you'll be keeping this resolution. My word, 3-in-1.
Pádel, new movies and series, board games, hiking, climbing, bachata,… take them all on!

Wear slippers. Don't go barefoot.
Please. It would break our hearts. Don't walk around the house barefoot. Mums and dads all over the world can't be wrong. Wear house slippers and learn to be civilised. It helps keep the floor in good shape and your feet will be warm and happy stepping on cotton clouds instead of Lego bricks.
We're leaving our new collection right here for you to take a look.
Making it easy has always been and always will be our motto.

Be a better person and change your life. It's September and we've got your back!
