Five different plans, perfect for rainy weekends
Winter is coming! We're right in the middle of a rainy week, when heading out feels more of a chore than usual. The weekend doesn't look any better, and it could be the perfect chance to do all those cosy-at-home plans we never find time for. Here at Marpen we've got a few ideas that we'll definitely be trying ourselves. Are you in?
1. Sofa, blanket and a movie
This one is, without a doubt, a classic. Finishing the week and saying, now we're talking, a full-on Netflix session, is a pleasure within everyone's reach. There are few things nicer than the sofa, our favourite series and a good bowl of popcorn. But don't worry: if you're not subscribed to any streaming platform, antena 3 offers a whole load of afternoon films that'll send you into long, restorative naps. Can you think of a better plan?
2. Grab the novel everyone's talking about
Yes, reading is still a pleasure for many people. Routine and tiredness take over during the week and we set hobbies like this one aside. So this Saturday, relax, find a spot where you're comfortable and dive into your book. Calm will come to you almost immediately.
3. Cook something new

We know: you're fed up with eating whatever at odd hours, with the cafeteria menu and with the ready-made salads from mercadona. It's understandable, we are too, and that's why we suggest you spend some time in the kitchen. Cooking against the clock and out of obligation is pretty annoying, but doing it for the sheer pleasure of it is priceless. Pick a recipe you fancy trying, get the ingredients and get to work. You can turn the experience into a romantic moment if you do it with someone.
4. A clothes swap among friends
Are you a shopping fanatic? Have you done your seasonal wardrobe change and you're running out of space everywhere? Do you keep asking yourself what on earth you were thinking when you bought that? Don't worry, we know the feeling, and that's exactly why we love this plan so much: a clothes swap. Yes, it's the best way to have a fun time at home with friends and, on top of that, to declutter and recycle our clothes. That said, if you give away our slippers, make sure it's because you've already got another pair in your cart.
5. Do something creative
Don't drag your feet: we know there's a creative soul inside you and we all want to see it. Make the most of your free time to let your imagination flow. Paint, write, work with clay or whatever you fancy, but wake up your most artistic side and you'll see just how rewarding it turns out to be.
